    The Rejected Realms Update

Update no. 16, December 2013 Hallo? Hallo! Newly-elected Foreign Affairs Officer Guy here, with my first ever TRR update. Officer Elections In a response to inactivity by the previous crop of Officers, Delegate Frattastan proposed the holding of regular elections for the four positions. Officers are generally tasked with aiding the Delegate in his executive duties, with their roles being determined by him. Under the proposed amendment, drafted by Guy, elections are to be held every four months. The Amendment was carried without a lone objecting vote. Previously, elections to the Officer positions, like the ones for all other political positions in the Realms, were conducted under the unique Challenge system under which an incumbent holds their office until they are successfully challenged by another citizen. Under the new system, while incumbent Officers may still be challenged, they will also have to face elections scheduled every April, August and December. Wopruthien was the only Officer who sought to recontest his position in the first ever TRR Officer elections of the kind. Alongside him, citizens Unibot, Horse, Christian Democrats and Guy also vied for election to one of the four positions - meaning one was destined to miss out. Following a well-fought campaign, it was ultimately Horse who had to miss out, with voters turning to more familiar faces to the region - albeit some returning after a long bout of inactivity (or rather, activity elsewhere). The new crop of Officers, who all received the roles they requested from Frattastan, stands as follows: * Christian Democrats (Internal Affairs) * Guy (Foreign Affairs) * Unibot (Media) * Wopruthien (Culture) Curbing the Delegate's Powers, ft. a new flag? Surprisingly, that was not the only Constitutional Amendment passed. The Assembly reserved for itself the power to regulate the Delegate's usage of Regional Controls and WA actions, which was previously entirely within the Delegate's prerogative. As TRRers sought to establish their regional flag in statute, the realisation that our current flag is quite an antique hit the citizenry. Calls were made to replace the low-resolution flag with a more modern version. None of the proposed flags garnered much support, as they did not quite capture the feel of TRR's old flag. Eventually, the Assembly passed the Flag Act, enshrining our current regional flag as the official TRR flag and requiring the Delegate to fly it. Think you can do better? Let us know! Endotarters TRR has attracted a wide range of new endotarters to the region, most notably the (not so) mysterious Liegeois. Despite imperialists' best efforts to invade the region, which included mass-TGing all World Assembly nations around the NS world stating that they must endorse Liegeois (and not endorse frattastan) in order to participate in a faux World Assembly conference, Liegeois' endorsement numbers quickly dwindled, even with the addition of foreign troops to back him up. The Rejected Times restarted! Following his election to Officer, Unibot resolved to quickly restart the Rejected Realms' media department. The first issue of the new Times was a great success, featuring commentary on the developments in Osiris, an interview with Dalimbar, and assorted regional and interregional news. At the time of writing, a special Christmas edition of the Times is in printing. Probably recognising his knack towards inducing controversy, Frattastan was overheard threatening Unibot that his role will be changed to "Huggling Fratt" should he slip-up. We wish Unibot the best of luck in his role. New Face on the Citizenship Council In-line with TRR's complicated system for appointments to its Citizenship Council (I deserve a prize for it), the senior-most Officer Wopruthien nominated none other than Delegate Frattastan to replace Abbey on the Council, tasked with processing citizenship applications. Frattastan was confirmed by the Assembly with a 17-3 vote. During the confirmation process, some citizens were concerned with a potential conflict of interests for a Councillor to simultaneously hold the position of Delegate. Nevertheless, the citizenry generally believe that it is not an issue, and that Frattastan is the "best man for the job". Osiris The Rejected Realms has come to the decision to suspend diplomatic relations with Osiris, due to the political instability which it has been affected by in the past year. We hope that we may restore relations with Osiris soon, and wish it all the best in the meantime. Rejected Realms Army In spite of a slowdown in late December, overall RRA activity has increased since our last foreign update, with defenders from the Rejected Realms protecting several regions threatened by invaders (Antarctic Alliance, Antifascist Allstars, Galts Gulch, Sapientia, Middle Earth, Deep Space and Christmas to mention a few), helping the natives of The United States in a refound, and assisting our longtime allies in Lazarus on two occasions. Following Lazarus's decision to establish a defender military, the Rejected Realms Army has also been the first group to cooperate with them, running a number of joint RRA-LLA missions during the minor update. IRC quote We haven't really been that funny recently. Abbey has been dumping lots of glitter on me.

    The Rejected Realms Update

Update no. 15, September 2013 Lots and lots and lots has happened! But only because it's ten months since the last official update. In the meantime, the TRR Media Corp has taken over providing news/rumours/slander from the region. Unless you've been living under a rock (or in Wysteria), you'll have noticed a lot has changed lately. Most importantly, the Whamocracy has fallen, and we are now living under an iron fisted Frattatorship. All the Officer roles are filled, and we have a new(ish) Speaker after citizens protested Christian Democrats making public a number of private discussions without notifying the Assembly first. PSSP The Rejected Realms remains in the Pan-Sinker Security Pact; however, it's getting a little lonely here. Balder and Osiris have withdrawn in the aftermath of Douria's coup, considering the treaty a worthless document and leaving just Lazarus and TRR remaining. In fact, TRR and Lazarus are already allies through another treaty - the doubling up proves just how much we like each other. Petitions to the admins to create a new batch of more reliable sinkers have so far fallen on deaf ears. NS Cold War The Gameplay forum is full of tedious, tiresome and tortuous arguments between the NPO and the UIAF as the developing Cold War has hotted up. Citizens of the Rejected Realms have discussed the conflict, considered both positions, and - after a period of deep reflection - given a resounding no to getting involved. Nonetheless, the conflict has impacted on TRR, with the collapse of the PSSP related to it, and a number of exposés relating to the security of the region. Notably, current citizen North East Somerset has been implicated in pushing the Pacific to remove the supposed "FRA dominated" regime from the region. In response, citizens are considering booting him to the Really Rejected Realms. Rejected Realms Army The Rejected Realms Army has flourished of late under the command of Frattastan and Wopruthien, and nations flying the RRA flag have been involved in defences of a number of regions, including Capitalist Federation, Tibet, The New British Empire, The Great Green Federation, and The Republic of NationStates, as well as assisting in TSP's delegate transfer (and no, not in that way). The RRA Intel department remains fully active, and agent Onderkelkia continues to work his way up the ranks in The New Inquisition. Fratt-naming TRR is holding a competition to find the best nickname for delegate Frattastan. So far, we have: FrattleFrattiekinsFattiestanFartastanFratt boyFrattface Feel free to post further submissions in this thread. The best one will get mentioned in the next update. Everything else Frattastan was appointed a Global Mod. So far he has failed to abuse his powers, leaving his peons worrying about just what he's got planned.Culture Officer Wopruthien has been running avatar/flag contests for a while now, with any resident being able to take part. The winner of each week gets to choose the theme of the next one, with past themes including Disney villains, legends of modern music and historical characters. TRR's number one fanboy, Belschaft, has returned to apply for citizenship. We attempted to find out why, but he disappeared midway through answering. They are. Last year we had an entry of a small child repeating 'Chin-Chilla' for a minute and a half. It may not score too highly as it is after all a singing competition, but it is definitely permitted.

    2. Judging (23rd-26th May 2013) Once the submission phase is over the judges (made up of all regional reps of the FRA Regional Assembly) will vote on their preferred songs. Judges will rate their top 5 songs in order of preference (awarding their favourite 10 (dix) points, then 8 (huit) points, 6 (six) points and so forth). This will be done by judges posting their votes in a designated thread I will open. 3. Award Ceremony (26th May 2013) Once the judging period is over the winners will be announced in an awesome and special award ceremony. Awards will be available for the top 3 candidates. Sounds awesome. Can anyone take part? I know, it does. Anyone can take part- you don't need to be a citizen of a FRA member region or even a defender. Each person is limited to one entry only however, including if they are submitting an entry as a group. Can we make up our own song? Of course. Entries are only required to be a song- if you've written your own we'd love to hear you sing it, but failing that lyrics are also accepted! So get composing!
  5. Statement on the coup in the South Pacific Approximately twelve hours ago, Milograd, sitting Delegate of The South Pacific, went rogue, removing the link to the community forum, requesting foreign military assistance and launching a purge of several hundred nations against the region. Beyond the hollow rhetoric, Milograd's actions lack any direction whatsoever outside that of betraying the trust of those same institutions which had elected him and causing needless grief with the displacement of four hundred native nations. The Rejected Realms cannot accept the rule of a delegate, Milograd, who seems to consider an entire feeder region as a playground for power abuse. We pledge diplomatic and RRA support to ensure a speedy restoration of the legitimate government. Frattastan World Assembly Delegate, the Rejected Realms
  6. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor 08/04/13 Greetings It has been a very long time since our last official update and since then it has been all-change in the FRA administration and a very hectic last month. The Defender Awards have successfully been completed, FRA cabinet elections have taken place, and the rangers cause some controversy. The Defender Awards saw a record turnout of voters and saw a number of surprise results and successes for the FRA. With over Seventy votes cast in the awards there was a huge increase in participation with a record number of nominations. Despite this the awards did not go without controversy and already the organisers are looking at ways to improve the awards. A topic will be started shortly for anyone to post suggestions. In the past week the FRA Ranger Awards have been held. The FRA would like to say a huge thank you to Astarial for her help in supplying the awards. Despite this year having an extremely strong line-up, the Ranger of the Year for 2012 was won by Flowering Staplers/Luna Dancing for her outstanding dedication and hard work throughout the year. Although her real life workload increased at the latter end of the year, her impact and success cannot be overstated. Luna Dancing is one of the most underrated Rangers and her success is thoroughly deserving. In the Spotter of the Year, despite Karputsk winning the Ananke Award for spotting, there was only one clear winner. Frattastan, the winner, had accumulated thirty-one invasions over the course of the calendar year this despite only recording a few of them in his mission file. A number of service awards were handed out to various players and for the first time the Six Year Service Award was granted. For a full list of winners please follow the link: http://s7.zetaboards.com/FRA/topic/8797829/1/#new In recent weeks the FRA has held Cabinet elections. In what became a close encounter Wopruthien only narrowly beating Kogvuron by a single vote in the Arch Chancellor elections. Some political commentators have criticised Wopruthien’s lack of complacency in the run up to the elections while others have argued Wopruthien should be considering a new role within the FRA. Wopruthien however is said to be keen to finish off the job he has started and is eager to see the FRA expand and grow. In the Chief of Defence position Frattastan chose to step-down with the intention of running for delegacy in one of our member regions. We wish one of the most respected defenders of the FRA all the best in his ‘semi’ leave of absence. This has left Karputsk to run for the position and was duly elected by ten votes to one, beating Kogvuron. The Regional Liaison Officer saw Falconias return from retirement with the aim of continuing the excellent work of Karputsk. The Speaker of the Assembly saw Seneca join the Cabinet while the incumbent Wibblefeet moved from the Regional Assembly to take the role of Minister of Intelligence. A few weeks ago now two of the FRA Rangers took it upon themselves to play a practical joke on Europeia during an invasion of Space. Despite using the two most obvious nations with a long history of involvement within Europeia the raider lead failed to notice or act on warnings about who they were, despite one of the Rangers moving in his Europeian Citizenship nation eleven hours before the next update. Though the FRA does not condone impersonation, we believe the reaction from Europeia to the practical joke, which saw a complete cut off of diplomatic relations as a gross overreaction. Karputsk has since apologised for his involvement in the practical joke, while Falconias, the former Europeian President has been warned and disciplined for flying a flag of a foreign region in which he has currently no involvement in. Despite this unfortunate practical joke done in arguably bad taste we do not feel it warrants a formal apology or the complete removal of diplomatic relations. The FRA is dedicated to defending any and all regions under invasion and in this case the FRA was successful in preventing further damage being caused to SPACE. Falconias the newly elected Regional Liaison Officer has recently begun an ambitious recruitment drive for our member regions and is desperately seeking volunteers. Also included in his initiatives were Regional Flag days. As a result the Rangers will be and have been flying member regions flags to advertise their regions military. This has gone down a huge success and may become a permanent feature of the Rangers. In other news the Founderless Regions Alliance has recently discovered there is a strong and growing feline influence on the Founderless Regions Alliance. It transpired that every member of the previous two cabinets owned cats. This feline influence eventually manifested on the 1st April 2013. Policies mandating cat-nip for all and balls of wool strewn across the Ratter’s sofa (Ranger’s barracks) had become compulsory. The Founderless Regions Alliance took the unprecedented decision to rebrand itself as the ‘Feline Resistance Alliance’ with the soul aim of “an alliance of regions dedicated to the causes of mousecatching and resisting human domination across the NS world.” Normal speak was outlawed and all posts were converted to Lolcatz, with one member stating: “Wre on teh rar ar, an waz makins a cumback.” However the Founderless Regions Alliance was soon restored after the effects of cat-nip had worn off. The regional assembly is looking at ways to prevent another event like this again. If your region has any story it would like shared please contact Wopruthien. 8. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor 17/01/13 Greetings Friends and Allies. It has been a long month since our last update and the FRA has been extremely busy in that time. The 7th Annual Defender Awards have begun with nominations pouring in, our Rangers have been active as ever growing in numbers as well as Cabinet Elections. There is just under a week to go to place a nomination in The 7th Annual Defender Awards. Opening on the 10th January defenders across the Nationstates world flooded in to propose and nominate players, regions and organisations for a plethora of awards. In usual style the awards were not without controversy with FRA and her ally region Mordor nominated for Worst Invasion Award for their attempted defence of Fluffy Bunny Town, while fellow organisation UDL were nominated for their unintentional 'coup on Osiris'. This has led to a number of arguments but has since settled down in usual fashion and good spirits. The FRA is pleased to announce a record number of nominations already with more to come, particularly in the 'Defender Quote of the Year Award' (which surprisingly only has a modest five confirmed nominations). A full list of confirmed nominations can be viewed here: http://s7.zetaboards.com/FRA/topic/8772596/1/#new Our recent Cabinet elections saw for the first time ever in our history all five of our cabinet positions returning the incumbents to office. Wopruthien, narrowly defeating New Sorvun's Likako Nehio for the position of Arch Chancellor. Notably Wopruthien has now broken Sedgistan's record for terms as Arch Chancellor, but has still some way to go before breaking the time in office due to shortening of term times. Frattastan of The Rejected Realms returned to the position of Frattastan *cough* Chief of Defence, while Scoochi2 of Antarctica remains as Minister of Intelligence, expanding on the work done last term, increasing our agents and renewing links with old sleeper agents. The long term member of 00000 A World Power, Wibblefeet, has been elected Speaker of the Assembly announcing Seneca of Global Right Alliance as his deputy, while Karputsk of New Sorvun begun a second term as Regional Liaison Officer. His work last term largely involved aiding regions in the Alliance which saw a revival of 0000 A World Power and New Sorvun, while Sovereign Liberties of Global Right Alliance beginning recruiting for the region. The Regional Development Programme put in place by Karputsk is looking to build on this recent success and looking for volunteers. In recent months there has seen a drastic decrease in regional military. If you your region is interested in setting up a regional defence military and unsure where to start please contact Karputsk, Drop Your Pants or Wopruthien who will offer advice and guidance to build up your regional military. The Rangers have been busy since the new year taking part in ten successful defences as well as aiding other defenders in attempted liberations of some of the larger raider occupations in Planet X and South Pacific. We will continue to strive and build our military in order to fight these destructive and long term occupations. The Charter has recently been amended to clarify one of the more confusing sentences in the Charter which gave Vice-Chancellors but not the Arch Chancellor the ability to open embassy's and begin diplomatic relations with non-member regions. It has also clarified the number of Vice-Chancellors the Arch Chancellor can appoint addressing fears from New Sorvun that X amount of Vice-Chancellors could be chosen. As mentioned the FRA intelligence service has already had a number of successful operations since the new year, and it's a department that is always expanding. Kogvuron of the Libertarians United has begun work of the Deputy Intelligence Minister. If you are interested in offering your services in one of the most successful and longest running departments please contact Scoochi2 or Kogvuron. Again just to remind everyone that the 7th Annual Defender Awards has just under a week for nominations, with the voting procedure due to be announced shortly. If your region has any story it would like shared please contact Wopruthien. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor Wopruthien

    7th Annual Defender Awards

Maybe, I won't contest we've done many a stupid thing in the past As for the Eurosoviets original naming decision it was a long before my time, but it's been removed and its coming up to the 3rd year now.
  10. The 7th Annual Edition of the Defender Awards, the longstanding and much-awaited event that rewards those who have served the defender world and celebrates Gameplayers' successes and failures of the last twelve months is here again! The Awards are hosted by the Founderless Regions Alliance (FRA) on their forums, located here. The awards are as follows: The Defender of the Year Award The formerly named 'EuroSoviets' award is given to the nation who is viewed by the NS community as the one nation who has helped the defender cause the most in the last year. The Ananke Award The Ananke Award is given to t hose nations who spend their own time looking out for any invasions that are taking place. This normally means staying up till very late and sacrificing their sleep for the greater good. The Anarchotopia Award This award is given to the region or organisation which has proved the most successful in preventing invasions. The Blackbird Award A special award that is given to the invader group which the NS community considers the best out there due to whatever reason. The Sir Lans Award The old 'Updater of the Year Award' is for the person who has been involved in more update missions than any other, and has shown dedication to be there if they are needed. The Operation of the Year The mission which stands out from all others from the last year due to the success, the numbers involved or any other reason. The Best Newcomer(s) Award Given to the region, nation or organisation which has appeared within the last year, and impressed the defender community the most. This award has two recipients. The Dipes Award Given to the nation whom has best served the Intelligence cause. The Worst Invasion Award The award given to the operation which was classed as the worst invasion due to defender mistakes, invader cunning or any other reason. The Best Defender Quote A light hearted award, given to the nation whose quote or motto has been considered strange, funny or different. The Meltdown of the Year Award Given to a nation, region or organisation which has self-imploded in spectacular (and often hilarious) style. The WASC Award Given to the nation, region or organisation that is viewed to have contributed most to the defender cause through the World Assembly Security Council. The Lifetime Achievement Award for Dedication to Defending The award given to the nation who has been a dedicated servant to the defender cause for many years, often sacrificing different luxuries in order to help as much as they can. All - including invaders and neutrals - are welcome to attend.
  11. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor 07/12/12 Greetings Nationstates World. The Founderless Regions Alliance continues to build on its success from previous weeks again winning plaudits for it's military success. One unnamed source commented, 'I happen to believe that it's a sign of merit that the FRA continues to go out and do what it was founded to do despite everything no matter how small the force, no matter how great the animosity the FRA are still out there defending.' It has no doubt been a rough year for the FRA with the closure of the alliance a real possibility. However, through the dedication and hard work of various individuals the Alliance is once again on the rise. Troops from Gay, 00000 A World Power, San Francisco Bay Area, The Rejected Realms, the Liberty Alliance and the odd flag from a former member region Royal Federation of Nations have once again been seen on the battlefield. The FRA has deployed in solo liberations of Priory as well multiple successful defences against The Black Riders, The Black Hawks and an assorted array of other raider regions. In the last week Karputsk, our Regional Liaison Officer has taken the FRA back to its roots, announcing the Regional Development Project. This is a team of active FRA members who will be helping our regions back onto their feet. Giving them some support and development. If you would like to volunteer or submit an application for your region to receive this aid you can contact Karputsk. On a more cheeky note, the FRA this week offered The New Inquisition a position within the alliance. As TNI had lost its founder the FRA Arch Chancellor took it upon himself to offer the region a chance to join the FRA elite. A full statement can be read here: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.ph...7&start=350 We are still eagerly awaiting a response from TNI. I'd like to personally welcome our newest member into the alliance, the Libertarians United, who successfully joined the FRA. We look forward to working with the new region in the future. On a final note, Chief of Defence Frattastan has finally made it to General. In a tight vote in the Regional Assembly, Frattastan was elected to the 2nd highest position within the Rangers. He still has a long way to go before he makes it to General of the Alliance, and so we anticipate he'll be around at least for a few months until he can claim that elusive top spot. Once again thank you for reading. Wopruthien Arch Chancellor of the Founderless Regions Alliance

    The Rejected Realms Update

Update no. 14, November 2012 New Officer! This is the reason why you are reading this update, our first in three months. After some attempts to nag Sedge into writing yet another update, Frattastan announced his intention to do it himself and challenged for the fourth Officer seat, that had been occupied by Vacant since May 18. The decision was met with composed displays of approval, mostly. Whether Frattastan will be able to meet the standards of enthusiasm and activity of his predecessor, or the infamous Curse of the Officers will make another victim, you will find out by the next update. Maybe. After the end of the vote, the freshly-elected Officer has been assigned to the Foreign Affairs department, replacing Guy - who has quietly dropped out of NS involvement, a mere eleven months after announcing his retirement. Guess Vacant will have another chance, after all. Delegate Challenge Then-Citizen Apollo chose to be ambitious and challenged the sitting Delegate, Wham/Collector of Souls. The election platform of the challenger was most convincing and firmly persuaded the Citizenry to ... suggest he run for another government position first. Having failed to gain the (constitutionally-required) support of at least two other citizens, no vote took place. Apollo has since then vanished, failing to respond to any of the questions raised regarding his experience and commitment to the region and finally departing the RR, moving on to shadier endeavours. Namely, authoring Security Council proposals. Amendment to the PSSP Following a few controversial events there had been pressing demands to ensure a better enforcement of the Pan-Sinker Security Pact. Finally an amendment has been passed and now violators (individuals) of the Pact can lose citizenship in all the signatories of the treaty and regions that fail to comply with the treaty provisions can be expelled on unanimous decision of the other signatories. WA voting policy This paragraph was going to be filled with our voting record of recent World Assembly proposals but well, Christian Democrats found out that *no vote* has been cast (at the time of the writing) on the last four resolutions. However, we took this opportunity to open a thread in the Assembly and re-discuss the regional WA voting policy. Currently citizens and regional residents are consulted on each proposal and WA authors are welcome to lobby the Delegate to vote in a certain way, but in the end the decision remains discretionary (even if Delegates have generally committed themselves to follow the opinion prevalent among the citizenry). So far proposed changes include: force the Delegate to vote according to the will expressed by the citizen in a forum vote, force the Delegate to vote according to the majority will of the WA residents of the region, keeping the status quo, various hybrid systems. The debate can be seen here. Everything else The Great RR Ocean Race ended with Almonaster (from Canada) taking the first spot, closely followed by Tim. Fratt arrived last. Ha!The Peanut Gallery, a subforum to debate real-world issues, has seen little use since being opened in August. Once again we blame our beloved admin team, who apparently scared everyone from posting by saying that the Gallery was "on trial" and would be kept only if people behaved. It is widely agreed that forum member God-Emperor should get an avatar. Or stop posting here. IRC quote of the month
  13. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor 18/11/12 Greetings Nationstates Community. It has been an exciting time in the Founderless Regions Alliance, with elections, Real-Life (What's that?!), Cabinet meet-ups, defences and Regional Assembly debates. In the recent FRA elections, Wopruthien once again retained his seat as Arch Chancellor, becoming the joint most elected Arch Chancellor in FRA history, equalling Sedgistan's record of five terms in office. Frattastan of the San Francisco Bay Area and The Rejected Realms once again returned to Chief of Defence, for the Sixth straight term, but faced a tough opponent from Kogvuron also of San Francisco Bay Area and The United Federation, who was duly appointed as Deputy Chief of Defence along with Karputsk. In the Regional Liaison Officer election, three candidates put their name forward for the position. The Incumbent Likako Nehio of New Sorvun, People United Together of Atrigeas and Karputsk also of New Sorvun. The three candidates fought in a lively and spirited debate, the liveliest election for a number of terms. Despite an extremely strong showing in the debates, with some tipping the man from Atrigeas to cause a shock upset, PUT announced his withdrawal from the elections only hours before polling was due to start. The FRA would like to send our best wishes to People United Together and wish him good luck in his future endeavours. With only two candidates remaining, between two region mates, Karputsk defeated the incumbent Likako Nehio taking 85% of the votes. The Speaker of the Assembly saw the incumbent Wibblefeet of 00000 A World Power comfortably beat his opponent Abstain/Present with a full 100% vote, a clear vote of confidence in Wibble's outstanding work for the Alliance. The Minister of Intelligence elections saw Scoochi2 of Antarctica return to the shadowy Intelligence halls and he will continue the work of recently retired Guy of The Rejected Realms. Guy will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but has promised to return now and again. In other news, Nationstates celebrated its 10th Year Anniversary and to celebrate members of the new cabinet, notably Wopruthien, Karputsk and long time member Flowering Staplers, aka Luna Dancing of Liberty Alliance met up for FRA's 2nd real life Cabinet meeting. Frattastan was notable in his absence, claiming he was unable to find the 'Move Frattastan to London' button. Despite this, along with representatives from Global Federation of Nations, Osiris and Hinduism, the FRA was able to discuss a number of points and work on the best way to proceed during this upcoming term. As a result Karputsk has been attending all member regions and will be evaluating and hopefully organising a revamp of our inactive protectorate regions, with a number of candidates which will be helped out in the future. In military news, the FRA has conducted thirty successful defensive missions against various raider groups as well as a number of liberations. On a more recent update on the 13th November, the FRA along with members of the UDL successfully defended Seven regions against the Black Riders infamous tag raids, only failing to defend one region. It left TBR stunned who quickly retreated from the battlefield with over half an update to go. The FRA continues to win plaudits and is a constant presence on the battlefield, dispelling rumours of our inactivity. The Regional Assembly has been a hive of debate over the past term, with 2 new admins, the admission of the Liberty Alliance into the region, the downgrading of four regions to Protectorate, a Charter amendment regarding elections, a number of spirited election debates and the FRA Conference which is still open for any new ideas should members/regions feel to add anything as a number of ideas are currently being implemented. The new Minister of Intelligence has begun a recruitment drive, appointing Wibblefeet as his deputy who will handle the day-to-day running of the intelligence department. Kogvuron has also been appointed Vice Chancellor, and is tasked with promoting the Founderless Regions Alliance's presence abroad. Finally in a bizarre twist of events, Unibot III decided to share in the recent success and revival of FRA.... by wearing our flag. Frattastan, after returning from the World Fair, was seen laughing madly prompting Uni to change his flag. Events remain unexplained, but we'd like to thank Unibot for showing his appreciation. Evidence can be found below: http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y393/F...stan/FRAbot.png Thank you for reading. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor Wopruthien
  14. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor 02/11/10 Since our last update, the Founderless Regions Alliance has been hard at work defending countless regions, participating in 46 defences and liberations. The Rangers have been working hard winning plaudits from all over Nationstates including our opposition. Prioritising Defences rather than liberations, before any lasting damage can be done, the FRA successfully defended twenty-five regions from being invaded in October alone. Sadly some raids were missed, and the Rangers have been able to successfully expand into doing four successful independent liberations. We continue to work hard and enjoy working with our fellow defenders, it is certainly encouraging that our Rangers are now able to run the occasional mission independently proving that the FRA is heading in the right direction. The FRA was further encouraged by the return of the Liberty Alliance to it's member regions and with a potentially 2 regions close to submitting applications the FRA is finally dispelling the myth that our time is over. You can also read a special Zombie Halloween update edition from the Fiendishly Repulsive Antagonists: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.ph...7&start=325 Finally the FRA is currently gripped by election fever with the democratic organisation nominating candidates for all positions across the Cabinet. With the conclusion of the FRA Conference the new Cabinet, and particularly the Head of the Organisation, the Arch Chancellor will have to work hard to implement some of the brilliant ideas presented by Regional Members. If you want to nominate a candidate for any Cabinet position make sure to head to the Regional Assembly. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor Wopruthien
  15. From the Office of the Arch Chancellor Since our last update, a special military update has been released showing the success of the FRA at minor update. This can be viewed in full here: http://s7.zetaboards.com/FRA/single/?p=8361051&t=8324979 The FRA has cut back and concentrated most of its resources into combating raids at the 'Minor' update with some success. We have over 35 successful defences and four liberations since our last update on the 13th September. This is testament to the highly skilled and experienced nature of the Rangers; and hard work of our Chief of Defence Frattastan; when in recent months defender success has been few and far between. The FRA continues to work hard and closely with its fellow defender organisations in TITO and UDL, and with the slight change in variance effecting gameplay we hope to build upon these successful defences in order to further protect regions safety and security. The Intelligence department has been hard at work. As usual the work is classified. If you would like to become involved in this kind of work please contact Guy on the FRA forums. In other news, the Speaker of the Assembly, along with his Deputy People United Together of Atrigeas, have been busy at working dealing with a number of proposals and amendments to the Charter, as well as a plethora of 'Conferences' that have erupted in the Regional Assembly. One such conference has been discussing the future and direction of the FRA, posing serious questions about its current state and how the FRA should proceed in the coming weeks and months. All views are welcome and constructive criticism is encouraged. After the retirement of our beloved Chin-Chillas there has been a hole in our Admin team on the FRA boards, and so Frattastan and for some unknown reason Wopruthien have been appointed as admins to the FRA forums. If you experienced any technical difficulties on the FRA forums, 'blame Wop' as he has most likely been playing around with the Admin CP again. Finally the debate surround the naming of the 'Defender of the Year Award' formerly the 'Eurosoviets Award' seems to be reaching some kind of conclusion with a slight majority supporting the retention of its current name. However if you would like your say please follow the link below: http://s7.zetaboards.com/FRA/topic/8618437/ Once again if there is any stories from our member regions you would like the FRA to cover in our updates please contact Wopruthien with the details.
