So rather than being a natural environment in which we have developed due to an ideal atmosphere and location in the solar system, in which we have no reasonable expectation of mercy or help because the world does not feel anything for us, what you're saying is that the world is a training ground that some supernatural creature has set up to test our hardiness? A rather morbid joke to not tire of after thousands of years. -
