If Yogi Bera were here, you'd know what he would say about that.

You mean something about the ball being hit a metric tonne and it hitting his daughter in the tail bone, therefore making Babe Ruth the best player ever?

Yogi Berra was quite the funny guy when he didn't plan to be.

Governmental Affairs

  • Power to the People!

Canadian members voted over the last few weeks on two constitutional referenda.

First, the members voted for the "Regional Input" amendment, which gives all members the opportunity to comment on all laws before they are enacted.

Second, members voted for the "Acclaimed Minister Constitutional Change", which changes the process of election in cases where only one candidate is running for a cabinet position. Previously unopposed candidates were acclaimed (no voting, just appointment); now a Vote of Confidence is used.

  • As a bonus to amending the constitution, Judith Gap (MoJ) with help from his Deputy, Lorelai County also reformatted The Constitution of Canada.

  • King_Girl our Minister of Doughnuts and Beer is holding an office party. Everyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the festivities. If you are looking for chocolated doughnuts you will need to find ParrrrTay, since she arrived early and ran off with all the chocolate ones.

  • Ejections were handed out to several members because of a suspected invasion attempt. Details may be found in a special message posted in your embassy.

Ess has resigned as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kana da has passed the regional vote of confidence and is now Canadian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Diplomatic Events
  • Canada decided against opening an embassy with British Overseas Territory at this time.

Bigamy, Smallamy, Adultery and Childery all at once I guess. Depends really.

What about Mrs. Knive, Master Spoon and Ms. Carrot Peeler? What is their opinion?

I'm really not sure ... but it's kinda funny ... I've always thought of knives as being masculine and spoons being feminine. I really don't know about carrot peelers. They're like the pre-op transexual members of the cutlery drawer.

A thoughtful conversation brought to you from the Canadian RMB:

After a one-year trip around the world that saw me visit 37 regions in 53 weeks, I have returned to the region!
You can see the full list of regions in my dispatch.

Welcome home!

Thanks!
I initially wanted the day of my return to be November 18 - one year to the day that I left. Unfortunately, I have the memory of a goldfish :P

Yup, I know that feeling.
Where am I again?

A goldfish somewhere is hunting for its memory.

Maybe it just doesn't realise it's hunting for it?

Well, it's just a goldfish, eh?

Idly curious. If you have the memory of a goldfish, does the goldfish now have your former memories?

No idea :P

Maybe you should get on that, memory theft is no joke

Indeed, a serious form of thoughtcrime.

Ministry of External Affairs.

We welcome

  • Victoria E.C. Stewart,  ambassador from the United Kingdom, and
  • Kastros Drakan, ambassador from the Allied States.

Canada participated in the 2017 NS World Fair. Our thanks to Almonaster who was part of the organizing team for the entire fair.
Here are some fun quotes from the Canadian booth:

Badges Thread
Oh, sweet! Maple flavored badges!!

Ooh, a choice of badges. Classy!

You know I consider RL Canada to be my escape plan A if Brexit proves unbearable.

Excellent escape plan Erinor! The non-crappy region should always be plan A.

Leafs! My favorite things! *Eats badge*

Questions Only thread
Did you steal this from Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Do you really think they were the first?

Do I look like I know?

Are we supposed to judge from your avatar?

Do you not judge people by their avatar?

Wouldn't that depend on your personal perspective?

Oh great, do I need a personal perspective?

Do you have a problem with that?

Spherical or linear perspective?

Pubs of Parkplace thread
Welcome to The Pubs of Parkplace!
Come on in, drop a quarter in the Jukebox, and order a drink!

Full dining in the back with waterfront view for anyone who needs a bite to eat!
Full gaming area for those into competition or just for a fun time.

Beware of flying darts and possibly a goat or two.

Special of the day: FREE MOOSE BEER!

Hi Boss.

Can I have Moose Beer, please?

*throws goat*

I'll have a vodka, please.

Carries one cold Moose Beer to Al's table.

*Catches goat and tosses him out of the side door with my right hand, slides a Vodka down the bar to Charles with my left hand*
CHEERS!

You can see why she's our Prime Minister.

We all would be stuck at home if it weren't for the goats:

Dear Diary,

When I feel lonely I dim all lights & put on a horror-movie. After a while I don't feel like I'm alone anymore.
