Regional Happenings:

  • The election campaign is underway. Currently two candidates are running unopposed, but nations still have until Wednesday to declare their candidacy. We are also welcoming nominations for the first time. Polls will open on February 24th
  • There has been some new ambassadors posted. We are attempting to keep all our embassies staffed.
  • There was a debate about cabinet voting procedures (link)
United Nations:OOC Happenings:
  • Daemon watched Hotel Rwanda. He also bought $150 worth of books from Chapters, when all he went in for was a GRE study guide
  • Bweezy continued a Trivial Pursuit winning streak that goes back to 1984. He also achieved all his career goals: to work in an office with a lava lamp, plasma ball, and newton’s cradle. (The latter two were gifts from his wife for Valentine’s Day). Also, his curling team won their second game in a row.
  • kana da started looking at possible university options. Many were there to try and influence her decisions.
  • Redundancies went to a family gathering, where he learned that his sister is pregnant.
  • Checkers McDog had to cancel her trip to Montreal and Quebec City, due to conflicting schedules with her friends. She also got an interview for a summer internship.
  • Gaia got a $150 ticket and 3 demerit points on the way home from work.
  • Defectiveness went to school for the first time in week
  • Oilers Fans is once again on crutches, this time it’s due to a hockey incident.
  • Beaver-Country-Canada is off to Calgary for the weekend, to see Macbeth at the Calgary Theatre

  • We all “celebrated†Valentine’s Day
  • Funny Banner Ads: We’re having some fun pointing out some of the odd targeted banner ads that show up on Invisionfree forums
